In AppBlock, you can navigate between the pages (screens) by tapping the specific page name/icon in the navigation bar at the bottom. There are currently 4 pages:
Blocking – is the main screen where you can create your blocking setup. You can find Quick Block and Schedule blocking here.

Blocking is the first page where you can set up your blockings. You can set up simple Quick Block or Schedules with rules.
Quick Block – temporarily blocks access to specific apps with just one tap. Quick Block lets you quickly avoid distractions by preventing the usage of selected apps for a set period.

Schedules – you can use rules to automatically block certain apps and websites during specific times, or by other conditions.

Quick Block

Quick Block is a feature that allows you to quickly and temporarily block desired apps and websites without having to create complex rules. It can be started and paused just by tapping one button (Start/Stop) or with the Timer function.
Start/Stop button – you can simply start the blocking by pressing the Start button. The blocking will continue until you press the Stop button again. In a free version, the Quick Block is limited to 4 hours.
When done with setting up the desired Duration, press the “Start” at the top right corner to immediately start blocking.

If you have previously set a Duration, you will see its log in the History section. There, you can select and activate the previous log by pressing the start button in a blue circle.
After the timer runs out, the blocking will stop – or you can disable it earlier by pressing the Stop button.
Pomodoro function in Quick Block – you can set Pomodoro blocking for Quick Block, in other ways create a blocking for specific time intervals. You can set up the Focus time (duration), Break (duration), and number of Sessions.

Blocking mode
In Quick Block, you can select between 2 Blocking modes – Blocklist and Allowlist.
Blocklist – selected apps, websites or Safari keywords will be blocked.
If you look at the details of the category by pressing the “>” button or by pressing the category’s name, you might find some websites. Those websites are system suggestions based on your browsing activity in Safari.
If you want to select a specific app/website for blocking, you can tap on the checkbox – a circle – next to the app’s/website’s title or tap on a circle. Selected items should have a circle with a blue background and a white check mark.

If you want to add a whole category, tap on a circle next to the category’s name. The selected category should have a circle with a blue background and a white check mark.

If you want to find a specific application, you can use the Search bar right above the list.
You can add a website by clicking on the bar at the top of the screen, inputting the desired website, and pressing the “Add” button. Selected items should have a circle with a blue background and a white check mark.

Afterward, you will be able to add and manage the keywords. You can add keywords by clicking on the bar at the top of the screen, inputting the desired website, and pressing the Add button. Selected items should have a circle with a blue background and a white check mark.

Time – can block apps for specific days and hours. You can for instance block distracting apps every weekday from 9:00 (9 AM) to 16:00 (4 PM) to stay more focused on work or school.
Days – In this section, you can select what exact days you would like to have the blocking active. It will be automatically selected on the day you create the Schedule. Selected days will be highlighted by the blue color.

Time – Here, you can select what exact time should the blocking be active. You can choose between “All day long” or specific time intervals.

To create a 24-hour (all-day) blocking Schedule, please tap on the switch button next to the “All day long” text. If the option is selected, the switch should be turned blue and all other intervals should be hidden.

To create a specific time interval, click on the “+ Add” button on the left side below the intervals. There, you can select specific From and To times, when the blocking should be active.

To save the selected time for the interval, please click on the “Save” button at the top right corner.

To edit the interval in the list, tap on the clock icon (left side) or on the numbers From – To.

To remove the interval from the list, tap on the red remove icon on the right side.

To save the Timer options, click on the “Done” button at the top right corner.

To use location schedules, you need to set location access to “Always”

Disable installation of new apps – hides the AppStore so you cannot install new apps.

Icon
To change the Schedule icon, go to Schedule detail and tap on the icon at the top part.

Afterward, you should be able to see a “Select emoji” list where you can choose between numerous emojis. To select and change the icon, please click on the desired emoji and the icon will be automatically updated.
To change the Schedule name, go to Schedule detail and click on the bar with the Schedule name. The default name of created Schedule should be “New schedule”.
Please keep in mind that after Disabling your Schedule, you will have to manually start the Schedule if you would like to activate it again. You can do this by tapping on the More (three dots) option at the right side of the Schedule card and selecting Resume.
To speed up the process of Schedule creation, you can create the Schedule from the pre-defined Schedules (Schedule templates).

To browse between different Schedule templates you can swipe to the left or right. Currently, we provide many templates to choose from. Here are the examples:
Strict Mode is a feature that enforces stricter app and website blocking. It prevents you from easily disabling or modifying your blocking setup, protects against uninstalling which ensures the blocks stay in place, and much more. The more options you select, the blocking will be more strict.
Options
Options in Strict Mode allow you to select how exactly you would like to make your blocking more strict. You can access it by tapping on the “OPTIONS” button at the left bottom side of the Strict mode screen.

Here is a list of all possible Strict mode Options:
Lock blockings in app – this option is automatically preselected and ensures that you won’t edit, pause, or delete your blockings in AppBlock.
Disable installation of new apps – this feature hides the AppStore, so you cannot install new apps.

Prevent time change – this option restricts the option to change time on your device.

The selected option should have the blue switch. When you are done with selecting all wanted options, please tap on the close (cross) button at the top right corner.

Access
Strict Mode can be deactivated only through the method you choose. You can access them by clicking on the “ACCESS” button.

Timer – Strict mode will be deactivated after the set time runs out.

Follow schedules – you will be able to deactivate Strict mode only when selected Schedules are inactive.

PIN code – Protect AppBlock by setting up a PIN code.

You will be able to set a PIN code of length from 4 to 8 digits. Simply press on the numerical keyboard the desired PIN code.

Once you have typed the desired code, press the Confirm button. Afterward, you will have to repeat the same PIN code.

Enable schedule pause – Enable or Disable option to pause Schedule.
In Block Screen, you can select your preferred blocking screen that shows after you try accessing a blocked app/website.

Notifications
