How to Enable Family Sharing for AppBlock on iOS?

We’re pleased to announce that Family Sharing is now available for AppBlock on iOS for all users with Lifetime Premium purchased from the App Store. This allows you to share premium features with up to five family members at no additional cost.

If you have Lifetime Premium, follow the steps below to set up Family Sharing and allow your family members to access AppBlock Premium.


How to set it up:

AppBlock Lifetime Premium is available through Family Sharing on iOS. To set it up, follow Apple’s official guide: Set Up Family Sharing & Purchase Sharing.

Important Notes:

  • If AppBlock is already installed, family members need to Restore Purchases:
    AppBlock > Settings > Restore Purchases.
  • Family Sharing activation may take a few hours after purchase.

Troubleshooting Family Sharing Issues:

If a family member can’t access AppBlock Premium:

  • Ensure they’re added to your Family Sharing group and using the correct Apple ID.
  • Check if Purchase Sharing is enabled (Settings > Family Sharing > Purchase Sharing).
  • Restart the device and try again.
  • Open AppBlock Settings and tap Restore Purchases.

Family Sharing Availability:

Please note that Family Sharing is only technically supported for purchases made through the App Store. This feature relies on Apple’s built-in Family Sharing functionality, which only applies to in-app purchases made via the App Store.

If you purchased AppBlock Premium via our website (using Paddle), Family Sharing will not be available, as Apple does not extend this feature to external purchases.
