How does AppBlock handle your data?
AppBlock is designed with privacy in mind. Our blocking method is purely local, meaning that all blocking activities take place directly on your device. Data related to blocking apps and browsing the internet remains on your device and is not transmitted elsewhere.
What we collect
- Basic account information — email address if you create an account.
- App usage data — AppBlock reads Screen Time data on your device to measure usage. This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers.
- Crash reports and diagnostics — anonymized data to help us fix bugs.
What we don’t collect
- We don’t collect or store your browsing history.
- We don’t sell your data to third parties.
- We don’t have access to the content of the apps or websites you use.
Where your data lives
Your blocking schedules, settings, and usage data are stored locally on your device. If you use an AppBlock account, some settings may sync to our servers to enable features like cross-device Premium access.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at apple@appblock.app.
