Websites are not blocked in preview

If a website shows a preview before loading fully — for example, in some browsers or link previews — AppBlock may not block it at that stage.

Why this happens

AppBlock blocks websites by detecting their URL. During a preview, the URL can change dynamically or load in a way that AppBlock doesn’t catch in time.

What you can do

• Add the specific dynamic URL manually to your blocklist.
• Use keyword blocking to catch variations of the URL — this is more reliable for sites that change their URL structure during previews (see “How to block websites on Android” for details on keyword blocking).
